HOW "THE SOPRANOS" WILL END.

By Wayne Robins

People keep coming up to me on the street and saying, "Wayne, there are two more episodes of 'The Sopranos.' How will it end?"

I have two theories.

1. Tony's entire nuclear family--Carmela, Meadow, A.J., and not to mention Junior Christopher and Tony B. (the Steve Buscemi character), and most of the rest of his crew, are brutally murdered, in slo-mo sequence. (Remember: Johnny Sack is extremely disappointed in Tony, and I think the point of that loony 25 minute dream sequence last Sunday was to let us in on Johnny Sack's homicidal rage, and Tony's subconscious awareness of it). Tony is left alone, to ponder the price of survival, as Michael Corleone did, after losing all his family, friends as well as his enemies, at the end of "The Godfather Trilogy."

2. Tony Soprano is killed and buried in the same kind of unmarked grave that Jimmy Hoffa is said to be resting, either in the Meadowlands swamps or somewhere on the New Jersey Turnpike. Anyway, Tony is dead. But only a few eyebrows are raised when Carmela walks into the Bada-Bing Club, walks straight to the office and tells Paulie Walnuts, Silvio, and the rest of the gang: "Stop ogling the broads, put down your drinks...we've got work to do."
